Private vault content
Files, notes and protected names and descriptions are encrypted on your device. The service stores ciphertext and does not receive the secrets needed to open it. Vault names are not encrypted and remain visible in your signed-in account when a vault is locked. The service can read them, so do not use sensitive information in a vault name. Account identity, vault names, storage volume, access requests and payment records are separate operational information.
Australian storage
The initial design keeps stored vault content, application databases, recovery records and application logs in Australia. Cloudflare protects our website, app and API and may process requests and security metadata globally. It terminates transport encryption to inspect traffic; vault content remains encrypted on your device before transfer. API responses and vault transfers are not cached at Cloudflare. Public website and app assets may be delivered globally. Provider-specific security-metadata retention and access disclosures must be completed before launch.
Retention and deletion
Vault retention follows the account and access rules shown in the product. Explicit owner deletion removes service-managed source copies; it cannot recall independent copies or downloaded information. Security logs default to 12 months and diagnostic logs to 90 days. Business-record retention requires its separately documented legal purpose and finite schedule.
Your information and rights
Statutory personal-data requests must remain available regardless of subscription or ability to sign in. Such a request does not unlock a vault, reset its password, grant recipient access or trigger deletion. Start a privacy request without signing in. We verify your contact email, record a response deadline and assess whether additional identity evidence is needed before disclosure.
